Peter Haile, MTB Guide at Bailey Mountain Bike Park

Many years of bad riding habits having been painfully corrected; my coaching, guiding, and racing experience have developed an empathy for the intermediate rider. I know what it’s like to struggle with the same skills for years, and I know how incredible it is to have a breakthrough in ability.

These breakthroughs are what I work toward in my day job as a high school math teacher. In everything I do I’m constantly trying to explain skills and techniques from a variety of different perspectives in a low-fear environment. People don’t learn under fear, we learn through practice and play. So our focus will be to have fun as we learn to ride safer, faster, and playfully.

My goal with your riding is to shorten the learning curve with a combination of knowledge, observation, and skills practice. I’ve had the amazing time riding and learning with some incredible people over the years and it’s my privilege to pass some of these skills on to you.
